My first business was a domestic and commercial laundry company serving the wedding industry across the West Midlands. It was hard work but incredibly rewarding — and one of my proudest moments was receiving a commendation for reducing our carbon footprint. Protecting the planet has always been important to me, so that recognition meant a lot.

After selling the business, I went on to manage a charity for eight years. That role stretched me in every direction: compiling reports and financial projections, fundraising, organising events, managing a team, overseeing projects, and keeping the building legally compliant. It gave me a wealth of experience in leadership, organisation, and juggling many spinning plates at once.

In 2020, I decided I wanted a career with more flexibility — something that allowed me to travel — and became a virtual assistant. What I hadn’t expected was how deeply I would connect with the business owners I supported. Their stories, their struggles, and their ambitions mirrored so much of my own early experiences. That empathy and insight led me to launch L.T. VA Services Ltd in 2021.

The business grew quickly. I built a team, expanded into marketing and tech support, and soon found we were working mainly with coaches and consultants. By 2025, after hitting the VAT threshold, I knew it was time to evolve again. I’ve seen first-hand the roadblocks entrepreneurs face — and I’ve lived them myself. Now, with L.T. Business Management, I’m stepping up to offer not just support, but leadership, strategy, and partnership to help ambitious business owners achieve more with clarity and confidence.
